جان و دل را طاقتِ
ایں جوش نیست
There is not enough power in
the heart for the enthusiasm
باکہ گویم در جہاں یک گوش نیست
Who do I say this? There is no
ears to hear this
ہر کجا گوشے بُد از وے چشم گشت
The ears become eyes due to
this enthusiasm
ہر کجا سنگے بُد از وے یشم گشت
Even a stone is turned into a
Yashm (a precious stone)
کیمیا سازے ست چو بُود کیمیا
He is the alchemist. But what
is the alchemy?
معجزہ بخشے ست بُود سیمیا
The provider of miracles, what
is this charmer?
ایں ثناء گفتن ز من ترکِ ثنا ست
My expressing of praise is not
a praise
کایں دلیلِ ہستی و ہستی خطا ست
Because this is the proof of
(our) existence & feel of existence is wrong
پیشِ ہستِ اُو بباید نیست بُود
One has to be annihilated
before Him
چیست ہستی پیشِ اُو کور و کبود
What is existence? It is blind
and black before Him
گر نبودے کور ازز و بگداختے
If it’s not blind, would get
melted before Him
گرمیِ خورشید را بزناختے
And understood the warmth of
the sun
در نبودے اُو کبود از تعزیت
If the existence is not black
due to mourning
کے فسردے ہمچو سہخ ایں ناہئت
Then why the world is shivering
like cold
The
effects of secrets of nature and greatness of Allah have been discussed in the
previous couplets and listening to this, an enthusiasm is developed and the
demand of this is to explain more. He states in this context that soul and heart
have no power to control these and thus I will tell something more, but who do
I tell, as there are no ears in this world to listen to this, which can
understand these secrets. As due to non-understanding of these secrets usually
leads the people to rejection or involves in kufr and atheism. Further he
states the praise and benefits of the obedient ears, as all these ears become
the eyes i.e. whatever ears earn the belief though knowledge (علمالیقین) becomes the perfect belief (عین
الیقین). This means that it witnesses the talks of kaamileen and true
seeker. Even a stone becomes the yashm (a special and precious stone)
i.e. a weak person becomes a perfect one due to his acceptance. چشمِ
گشت- and یشمِ
گشت- is used for future for certainty to stress that the acceptance
by ears is such a thing.
Since
acceptance by ears is not there or less and effects are of dominant and
dominants are less in understanding and hence stoppage of delivering the secrets.
And since the effects of acceptance by ears is such that علمالیقین turns
into عین
الیقین and harm is replaced by profit is also
due to effects of powers of Allah and thus the remembrance of the context of
praise. Maulana states that what is the truth of alchemist, Allah is true alchemist and the
example of this alchemy is the conversion of a weak person into a perfect one. What
is the truth of a charmer/ magician, Allah is the provider of miracles, (and
since context is of praise in this life of existence and is of lesser at level
than annihilation (فناء), thus he states) that doing a praise is falsifying the praise
itself. As doing this is as if proving the existence of the one who is praising
and since existence is wrong as His existence is such that all the existence
are nothing in comparison and one’s existence needs to be annihilated. And if
our existence remains in front of His existence, then our existence is blind
and black (کور
و
کبود). The proof of its being blind is that had it been not blind
and would have seen the truth by one’s own eyes and found his own existence as
nothing, then one’s existence would have been melted before His and would have
understood the warmth of sun (i.e. effects of essence of Allah).
The
proof of being black/ blue/ dark is that had it been not so, it would not have been
involved in the troubles & tribulations of this world and why would it go
towards worldly affairs like ice (getting melted). Thus its existence shows the
symbols of its being blind and dark, whereas the true praise is to get
annihilated before Him, which is the real demand of attribute of Allah.
Now a days,after returning from hydrabad ,I am,reading Mashnavi of Sajjad Hushain sb.apart from routine work, I m spending balance available
ReplyDeleteover, honestly speaking,I could not spare time to read yr blog, however, I assure you that after completing my reading ,I will sure go tr it, because we may not read Rumi causally.
Keep it up,I knew , without interest and feelings , ñobody can write on Rumi, so systematically.
Yes, indeed, nobody can read it unless Allah Ta'ala wills. I have already booked a website for this purpose, but could not be able to work on it further.
