کاش چوں اصحابِ کہف آں روح را
Alas!
The spirit be protected like of People of Cave
حفظ کر دے یا چو کشتی نوح را
Or like the way the boat saved Noah
تا ازیں طوفانِ بیداری و ہوش
So
that the turbulence while being in senses
و ارہیدے ایں ضمیر و چشم و گوش
To rescue our heart, eyes and ears
The
conditions of dream and non-inclination towards world have been mentioned in
the couplets above and hearing this, the Gnostics (عارفین),
due to the fact that they are not liking any inclination towards other than
Allah, expects that how good it would be if this spirit remains saved there in
the عالیمِ
مثال like those of People of Cave (this is in
the words of Gnostics) and do not allow it to come here. Or if it may not be
saved for309 years as for the People of Cave, then may be saved for a period
for which the boat had saved Noah, which were few months. The desire is that how
better it may be if this sleep would have been longer, so that the hearts & senses are
rescued from the storm, because of being in living and in senses, which occurs
due to inclination towards other than Allah.
The
seeker (سالک) has been witnessing different conditions
when the absorption overcomes him and he aspires in this way. Otherwise, the
thought of other than Allah during the in-senses condition (بیداری)
and removing/ erasing them deliberately produces efforts (مجاہدہ),
which is better than the absorption.
