Although
the body could be the home of jealousy, but
Allah has made the body pure
The
purity has been acquired with the blessings of Allah
Of the body, which is full of proud, malice & showiness
"طَہِرَا بَیْتِی" بیانِ پاکی ست
“You
both clean My house” is the statement of purity
This is full of noor, though it is made of clay
The
condemnation of jealousy has been mentioned in the above couplets and the
reason for this is the dominance of human and carnal characteristics of human
beings. Now if someone asks that body, its attributes & effects are also
there in saints as well, then they must also be feeling this attribute of
jealousy. Therefore, if we are feeling jealous in following them, what is strange
in it and why do we follow those who are indulged in the same ailments as we
are. Maulana answers that though this body is full of jealousy, but this body
i.e. body of a perfect saint has been purified thoroughly by Allah i.e. Allah has removed the bad carnal and
human attributes because of the blessings of their struggles(ریاضات)
and austerities (مجاہدہ)
that they practice. Now they don’t have any jealousy etc. left and Allah has
provided them purification, which was full of jealousy, malice and showiness earlier.
The Ayaah of Quran containing the direction for Abraham and Ishmael to ‘purify
my house’ i.e. Ka’abah, also contains the purification of the heart,
indicatively and not specifically, as it is researched soon. (Quran 2:125) –
And (remember) when We made the House (the Ka'bah at Makkah) a
place of resort for mankind and a place of safety. And take you (people) the
Maqam (place) of Ibrahim (Abraham) [or the stone on which Ibrahim (Abraham)
stood while he was building the Ka'bah] as a place of prayer (for some of your
prayers, e.g. two Rak'at after the Tawaf of the Ka'bah at Makkah), and We
commanded Ibrahim (Abraham) and Isma'il (Ishmael) that they should purify My House
(the Ka'bah at Makkah) for those who are circumambulating it, or staying
(I'tikaf), or bowing or prostrating themselves (there, in prayer).
The
saints have purified their heart from bad attributes, as apparently (طلسم – an effigy standing on treasure) this
human body seems to be made of clay but it is full repository of jewels of Allah’s
nor (نورِ الاہی), lights of knowledge (نورِ
معرفہ) and good ethics.
