ہر کسے کُو از حَسَد بینی کنَد
Whoever
gets his nose chopped due to envy
خویش را بے گوش و بےبینی کند
He makes himself of without nose and ears
بینی آں کپ باشد کہ اُو بوئے بُرد
A
nose is the one which smells odour
بوئے اُو را جانبِ کُوئے بُرد
Smell that leads him towards the path of Allah
ہر کہ بُویش نیست بےبینی بُود
One
couldn’t smell, is of without nose
بوئے آں بوئیست کاں دینی بود
And the actual power of smelling is the one which is of deen
A
person who rejects and fights the Truth actually gets himself deprived of sight
& ears and don’t take this apparent sight and ears in this case. We are
referring to the internal (باطنی) sighting and ears, the power of discrimination between good
and bad. So that you will be able discriminate between the right (حق) and wrong (باطل). This means that one be able to discriminate between an
accomplished and fake by hearing their talks, so you will reach in the path of
right through this smell (ability of discrimination). After identifying the
right sheikh, one has to follow them in order to achieve وسول اللّاہ. A person who does not have the power of discrimination between
the right and wrong, he is in fact blind, as the reliable power of smelling is
that one only, which leads you in Truth. If you do not have the understanding
of this power of smelling, then the worldly and actual power of smelling is of
no use. As in Quran (47:30) –
And if We willed, We could show them to you, and you would know
them by their mark; but you will surely know them by the tone of [their]
speech. And Allah knows your deeds.
