If
you make jealous of a pious person
زاں حَسَد دل را سیاہیہا رسد
Your heart will get blackened due to jealousy
خاک شو مردانِ حق را زیر پا
Do
obey and follow the specific people of Allah
خاک بر سر کن حَسَد را ہمچو ما
And put clay on jealousy like us
Now
as you come to know that these saints (اولیا)
are free from the jealousy, then being jealous of them would be an invitation of
a great danger. This is because your heart would be full of darkness if you are
jealous of these saints who themselves are free from this bad attribute. Thus
it is imperative on you to become the follower of these saints and put dirt on
the jealousy as we did, despite having so much worldly knowledge, in following
Shams Tabrez, who was not possessing so much external knowledge. Now Maulana turns
towards the extant story and coincidentally, here is the discussion of after
effects of jealousy as the vizier has destroyed its heart due to this, and also
got his ears & nose chopped, as the jealousy is a dangerous attribute.
