The
crying of rooh that has been mentioned above, which removes the laziness and
increase the longing for the beloved. This removal of laziness comes with the
reduction in the indulgence in the worldly affairs, which the nafs (desire)
detests and the rooh likes as its food. Thus it is stated that the rooh has the
poison which nobody has i.e. in respect of nafs, whereas nobody has a panacea
that it has in respect of rooh. When other roohs are benefitting so much from
it and then one can not fathom the taste it is experiencing by itself and
become more swift in the desire of the beloved. This nearness to the beloved is
termed as intimate or concordant (دمسازی) and this increased desire is termed as longing (مشتاقی)
i.e. it does not have any restraint even
just at the moment of meeting (وصل).
