Maulana
has described the meanness of the carnal ishq in the earlier couplets. Now he
states that the carnal ishq which is not fulfilling the conditions of rules is
absolutely contemptible. But even in this, the ishq which is weak and have no
base or ethics and vanishing quickly, the same is further calling for blames
and problems. Thus in this story, the ishq of the girl was weak, as it starts
declining once the health of goldsmith is declining. This gave the confidence
to the doctor that when this person becomes deprived of beauty and power, the
girl’s love towards him would completely finish. and hence he planned to kill
the goldsmith. Had her love been a strong and based on ethics & merits and
would not be diluted day by day, the doctor would not have planned for his
killing, as there would be doubt that if he got killed, she might be no more.
Therefore they would have kept the goldsmith with due care. But because of her
weak love, the person got killed soon. The lesson is this that the carnal ishq is
usually contemptible and weak, which leads to harm to the others, the imagine
what would the harm it do to self
