آں گُلِ سُرخ است تو خویش مخواں
He
is a crimson colored flower, don’t say it blood
مَستِ عقل ست او تو مجنونش مداں
An intelligent but introverted one, don’t say him insane
This
is regarding the fact that sometimes, some good and bad things/ action look
same but there is a lot of difference between the two. For example, a deep red
flower and the blood are of same colour but there is difference between the two
of being pure and impure. Similarly a person is very intelligent but he remains
more or less in himself in thought, then he and an insane person, who also
remains in himself only, cannot be compared. Thus mere similarity of outer
appearance, the two things cannot be taken as same.
