Disbelievers
used to be quarrelsome
Which is a trouble hidden in their hearts
A
monkey is mimicking human being
Action by action and do the same
He
becomes happy that he does the same thing
But when does he see the difference?
A
believer fights for Allah’s wishes, they do for quarrel
Let the people of quarrel be accursed
The
disbelievers are having the attributes of apes in competing with the believers.
Then in a commiserating manner, Maulana Rum says that it is a big trouble if
one’s heart is stamped with seal of distraction, as the person will never be
able to reach to the truth. Thus what is the use of merely mimicking for fights
and quarrel,, as imitation is also being carried out by the monkeys, which
think that they have done the things like the man. But there is a great deal of
difference between the two, but how can a monkey be able to differentiate the
two. The man is doing any work to get some benefit out of it, whether the same
is according to the rule or not but having intentions of benefit in the world
or religion. Whereas monkeys are carrying out those actions only to imitate the
man and nothing else. Then Maulana states that put the sand on the face of such
persons, similarly good attributes and bad attributes are looking same
apparently but are so different in meaning and truth.
