ایں نَفَسَ جاں دامنم بر تافتہ ست
My soul
is ready in this moment
بوئے پیراہانِ یوسف یافتہ ست
He smelled the odour of Yousuf’s (Josef’s) dress
نفَس means
moment, دامن برتافتن means catching the dress and یافتہ یوسف is an allusion for
longing ardently, as Haz Yaqub AS (Jacob), after sniffing the odour of his son he
became desperate for meeting him. Similarly, at the moment after the discussion
happened about my sheikh (master i.e. Hazrat Tabrez), my rooh is too longing and
requesting me to explain the favours bestowed by my master. The aim of this
favour is the secret of وحدت الوجود, the details of this is already occurred in preface.
