مائدہ از آسماں در مے رسید
The
dinner mat descend from the sky
بے شرا و بع و بے گفت و شنید
Even without being asked, bought or sold
‘مائدہ
means dining mat (دستر خواں),
which refers the food (i.e. Mun &
Salwaa) and as it comes from Allah’s side, it is referred as coming from sky in
the couplet. The people of Prophet Moses
(i.e. Son of Israel) was getting the Mun
( a type of drink) and Salwaa (meat of a bird) daily without having making any
effort for it.
