ترکِ استثنا
مرادم قَسوتے ست
Not
saying Inshallah, I mean the blackness of heart
نے ہمیں گفتن کہ عارض حالتے ست
It should not be said instead, as it’s a temporary phase
In
above couplet, the bad impact of not saying “if Allah wills” (انشا٫
الّٰلہ) has been
described. Now he is describing its reality as not saying the same means the
rejection from the heart i.e. due to hardheartedness, there is no faith and
trust in Allah Ta’ala. Thus merely saying from mouth, without having feeling in
the heart, which is a temporary condition, is not an acceptable situation. The
second part of the couplet could have two explanations, first could be that the
word نے (Ne) may mean disobedience, which has very subtle meaning. As earlier it was
said that not saying inshaallah means hardheartedness of the heart and now it
is saying that even if it is said from mouth but feeling is not there in the heart,
then though it is not rejection but I consider it as rejection of inshaallah. The
second explanation is based on obvious meaning that rejection of inshaallah
means hardheartedness and merely orally saying
the same would be an transitory phase.
