ابر ناید از پئے منعِ زکات
Not
giving charity (zakah) leads to stopping of clouds
وز زنا افتد و با اندر جہاں
Carnal indecency leads to social evil
ہر چہ آید بر تواز ظلماتِ غم
The
darkness of sorrow tat come to you
آں زبے باکی و گستاخی
ست ہم
Are also due to disrespect and indecency
The first couplet reiterates the original theme that bad acts of
few would cause the troubles for all in the surrounding i.e. in a community or
in a town or in a city etc.
The context explained in
the second couplet are from Quran’s ayah (42:30):
And whatever strikes you of disaster - it is for what your hands
have earned
