آفتابے کز وے ایں عالم فروخت
That sun
which lights this whole world
اندکے گر پیش آید جملہ سوخت
If comes little forward would burn everything
تانگردد خوں دلِ جانِ جہاں
Since the
heart of this world would not be destroyed,
لب بد وز ودیدہ
بربند ایں زاں
Close your lips and shut your eyes now
فتنہ و آشوب و
خونریزی مجو
Don’t
try to make mischief, riot, and destruction
بیش ازیں از شمس تبریزی مجو
And don’t make more efforts for Shams Tabrez
In
this example, the proof and betterment of keeping quiet and limiting oneself
has been mentioned. If the external sun just moves little closer the whole
world could not bear its heat. If you are not able to bear the light of this
sun in this case, then how can think of bearing the discussions of the
spiritual sun i.e. Shams Tabrezi i.e. secrets of wahadat-ul-wajoodوحدت
الوجود - . Therefore don’t force for explaining
these matters as this will create kayos in the world.
Thus
the discussion is to keep oneself in the limits and don’t transgress the limit
beyond one’s capacity, as also written by Akbar Ilaahabadi (in Urdu)–
پروانے نے سمع سے لپٹنا چاہا
پہلے تھا نور میں اور اب نار میں ہے
The
moths were trying to embrace the lamp.
Earlier, he was
enjoying the noor, and now he is in fire.
At this stage, Maulana was experiencing two contrasting feelings viz. سُکر
(ecstasy) and صحو (moderation). سُکر creates perturbation
which wants to explain the secret and صحو shows the consequences of
revealing or opening the secret and hence trying to
control or limit the perturbation. Because of these two different feeling, he
define himself as questioner as well as answerer and due to the feeling one
stage, he questions and with other feeling, he answers. This similar descension
of different stages are to be experienced by the seekers.
