What is
your home town, asked (the doctor)
کہ علاجِ اہلِ ہر شہرے جداست
As the treatment of illness is different for different city dwellers
وندراں شہر از
قرابت کیستت
And who
is your relative in that city?
خویشی و پیوستی با چیستت
Who is your companion and contacts?
دست بر نبضش نہاد و یک بیک
While keeping
his hand on her pulse
باز می پُر سید از جَورِ فلک
He was asking questions of the troubles and trials
The
doctor is slowly asking the girl to tell what is her city as the people from
different cities do have different nature and hence their treatment for
sickness is also different. He also asked her who does she know in this city
and who all are her relatives etc. He was keeping a hand on her pulse to
observe the movement while asking the queries.
