آفتاب آمد دلیلِ آفتاب

The proof of Sun is Sun itself

گر دلیلت باید ازوے رُو متاب

If you need a proof, don’t turn away from (ishq)

            This is an example of the content mentioned above and one of the qualities of this content has also been revealed. The way to understand, feel and see the sun is the sun itself and you do not need any other medium to understand it. The similar is the feeling of ishq, which reveals its own reality and any type of writing and lecture will not be the medium to understand this. To explain through lectures and writing is the way of intelligence, which says that to understand (maarifah) anything, one has to take the medium through other thing, but the thing for medium must have more authority to explain the former. Understanding through intelligence can never be better than understanding through senses & feeling and ishq, being an act of feeling & intuition and linked more with internal senses, is a feeling & sensation. Since the explanation & details whatever is being made of ishq is an act of intelligence, which is not enough for recognition. Rather, you can comprehend the feeling of ishq through its comprehension only and it will be its medium and nothing else, like sun, which is felt by the external senses. And any explanation of sun will be the act of intelligence and will not be enough to understand it and rather, it will be perceived through itself only. Maulana Rum has indicated the same that the sun itself is the medium & proof for its existence and if you are desired of it, you should witness it by yourself. One should not eschew this course and try to search for other route.
